Since the most recent election cycle, HLF has become the leading law firm in the State of Georgia handling election matters.  Most notably, HLF represented the former President of the United States in election contests at both the federal and state court levels in 2020.  HLF also represented the Chairman of the State GOP in those matters.  HLF’s election contest work earned high praise from one of the federal judges involved, who suggested that HLF deserved higher compensation for its excellent advocacy on behalf of the President.  In addition to those precedent-setting election contests, HLF has drafted amicus curiae and other briefs in support of other election-related matters, as well as helped clients to launch numerous open records requests with state election officials.  HLF’s expertise has enabled the Firm to become a leading advisor on Georgia’s Election Code, with many of HLF’s proposed reforms being enacted in the State’s most recent election reform bill.
